Several layers of specialty glass paint and markers are applied with patience and love. The first layer and outline is baked in the oven. Between applications the paint needs to dry for a minimum of 24 hours. This process cannot be rushed but the finished product is worth the wait!

I hand paint these illuminated bottles in honour of my son Jean Eric whose shining light left us way too soon. I started with Dragonflies as they are a symbol of transition and have added other signs of nature that our beloved sends us to show that they are near.
I offer single large dragonflies or 3 to 4 small ones with options for colours. I add wild grass, bubbles of water and sunrays.
Certain birds ( as I keep evolving with practice ) and I have different options for backdrop trees--birch, sumac, berry, pine branches, leaves or no leaves with chickadees, cardinals, yellow finch, and the odd bluebird or robin!
Presently I'm painting SUNflowers, red POPies, buttercups, daisies, several types of wildflowers and wild grass.
I can fit in a custom date, first name or initials for a special occasion gift bottle. They come nicely packaged with tags and a notecard with or without a Be the light! quote. You have a choice of English or French packaging.
Please allow 3 weeks of production time and keep in mind that shipping is very expensive. I can arrange for a pick up spot only in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. $70 per bottle
